![]() The war between the zombies and the plants has differed greatly since we last saw them. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 would've been fine if it was merely more of the same, but players are getting even more. The title was solid, the multiplayer-only element was well received, and the community remained strong when compared to Titanfall's, which fizzled out pretty quickly. Despite all of this, the game flourished. Releasing it just a month before EA's own multiplayer-focused Titanfall almost showed that the confidence behind it was rather low. Transforming a simple tower defense game into a third-person shooter was a tough sell, but making it a multiplayer-only title was another limitation. Zombies: Garden Warfare should have been a failure. This will damage any plant trying to take over the base.By all accounts, Plants vs. Cactus has the Garlic Drone, and Captain Deadbeard has the Parrot Pal.ĭon't forget about Foot Soldier's Zombi Stink Cloud. ![]() Either go on foot and fire from long range, or use one of the characters' aerial strike ability. A teleporter can be destroyed if damaged enough. ![]() Try to find the location of the teleporter when on the defensive team. Engineer's proximity sonic mine and Scientist's sticky explody bomb are great ways to stun and stop the advancing enemy team. If playing on Team Zombies, use All-Star's Dummy Shield to block paths and stop spawnable plants for a short time. Cactus' potato mines and Chomper's spikeweeds are great ways to stop and trap the advancing enemy team. If playing on Team Plants, use Cactus' tallnut battlements to block paths and stop spawnable zombies for a short time. Use as many defensive abilities and characters as possible when protecting a base. Not only is this a great way to conceal the zombie team while advancing, but it will damage any plant trying to protect the base. Three turrets can be created near the teleporter.ĭon't forget about Foot Soldier's Zombi Stink Cloud. Additionally, these characters are the only ones who can build/summon AI turrets to protect the teleporters. Fixing the teleporter will allow all players on the same team to transport from a glowing doorway near their base to the created teleporter.Ī new icon will appear on screen to mark the teleporter's location while playing as Engineer or Rose. Only Engineer can fix a teleporter for Team Zombies, and only Rose can summon a teleporter for Team Plants. Each section of the map will have a broken down teleporter. The more offensive players on a base, the faster it will capture.Īnother great tool for the offensive team are teleporters. It's best to use as many spawnable plants or zombies as possible when rushing a base to overwhelm the defending team. Both teams can use the mobile plants and zombies while on offense to help take the base from the enemy. Turf Takeover is the only playlist at this time that allows Spawnable Plants and Spawnable Zombies. The roles will switch up a bit when going from offense to defense. The numbers of Plants and Zombies in the base will be displayed on the capture meter at the top center of the screen.Īs always, be sure the team has a variety of characters to play each role in the team dynamic. If there are the same number of Plants and Zombies, the base will not capture. If there are three offense zombies and two defense plants, the base will slowly capture. The base will only capture if there are more offensive players than defensive players within the designated area. Each base takes at least 40 seconds to capture.
